OUR CLASSIC TEQUILA TOUR & HORSEBACK RIDING

HORSEBACK RIDING & TEQUILA TASTING

Private Tequila Tour
This is the perfect option for those wishing to combine their tequila learning & tasting experience with a little adventure. It preserves the essence of our original Tour, but with a different program.

Just as in our Original Tequila Tour, the tour includes a visit to a smaller family-run distillery with a long standing tradition of producing artisanal tequilas. There you can learn all about the making process from start to finish in an interactive context and enjoy a tutored tasting of the premium line of the house.

The difference resides in the fact that instead of visiting a second distillery, we hop on a horse’s back and set off for the trails on the outskirts of Tequila to take in the views and enjoy the city from a different perspective. This way you get a taste of everything!

The horses are responsive to any level of rider, therefore all are welcome – from beginner to more experienced. Please refer to requirements section for further information.

This is a one-day trip and it includes the following:.

01.
Hotel pickup and drop-off (only in Guadalajara, Zapopan and Tlaquepaque)
02.
Roundtrip transportation between Guadalajara and Tequila (see note)
03.
Visit of one (1) family-run distillery for a step by step explanation of tequila’s making process – from cooking to fermentation to distillation to bottling
04.
Tutored tasting of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas
05.
Lunch at the heart of the market (traditional Mexican Cuisine). Vegetarians are welcome - your request will be prepared at the moment
06.
A stroll through the town of Tequila to visit its main attractions
07.
More tequila tasting at traditional and boutique stores
08.
Jose Cuervo Gift Shop
09.
An entry at either the Sauza Los Abuelos Museum or the Tequila National Museum (subject to changing opening hours) to appreciate the evolution of the industry and deepen your knowledge
10.
One hour and a half hour (1h30 min.) of horseback riding in Amatitan Jalisco and on the outskirts of town
11.
On the way to Tequila, amazing views of the agave landscape and various photo opportunities – namely in a mature agave field
